assessment

teacher feedback
You have made good progress during the last week, there is much more on your blog and your work shows good understanding.

Next steps:
With elements such as the star profile, consider what their implications are for your work. What have you learnt that will help you in creating the image of your own artist? Then connect things together - when you write about the image of your artist for the treatment, explain where your ideas came from.

Your production diary needs dates putting in for each entry. Don't think of it in terms of a diary that records what you do each day! It should contain that, but more important is to evaluate what you learnt, what went well and what needs further work.

Mr A

At the moment, your blog is reaching a LEVEL 1. This is because there is minimal research and planning on there, as well as a lack of detail in the information you provide.

In order to progress towards a level 2/3, you must develop more information in your production diary about what you have learnt. You also need to ensure that you have labels clearly marked on your blog. Look back at the list on the hub about what exactly needs to be on your blog.

Plenty of good understanding and ideas here, well set out. Check your work carefully for typos! Make sure that you cover a range of ideas (style and colour, not just content, for instance) and that you show what you learn on each step of your journey.

To improve need to analyse more what went well in filming, if you came across any problems whilst filming, what part you want to use in your video and how maybe it fits with your genre
good risk assessment, cover everything needed and planned for if in need of a telephone or doctors
Good amount of analysis from using the theory's, looking at the demands of the music video and also writing about what you now understand from learning about the theory
Is good that you looked at the branding of a artist similar to yours, to improve could do with going into more detail; maybe look at how they changed over time
Good amount of detail and looking at conventions of a music video will help in filming and follow the stereotypes of music videos
good piece of detailed analysis, can see that you have really thought about your artist and what you want him to look like and target audience which is key. Also the fact you have looked at things that could potentially go wrong shows that you have planned thoroughly
To improve you could do with writing about what you learnt, how it worked as a big group, how it will help you doing your own music video

Really good that you looked at the conventions of a artists website but in particular ones that you have used as inspiration as it makes it more relevant to your artist. To improve could look more into maybe the images they use and what you like them personally and how you will incorporate them into your own website.

feedback given
WWW: pointed out key points within the videos to highlight the Laura Mulvey theory

EBI: if possible point out more reasons for how the Laura Mulvey theory is not shown in the videos.

WWW: the detail included in the task was informative and gave a good background to the artist.
also gave a good time line of the singers life.

EBI: possible create different sections throughout the task to break it up, and maybe instead of referring back to points later on talk about it in one slide e.g. talking about his relationships.

good understanding and background information behind Laura Mulvey's theory.

possibly add some examples of videos from classic Hollywood videos to back up what you are saying.

WWW: highlighted the most popular music of the time.
good use of background information to give an idea of who each artist was popular amongst and what made them popular.
EBI: possible give more examples of genres of music and bands/artists within that genre that were popular to give a more overall view of what music was like in each decade.
