Performance
When deciding on location we thought hard about were the ideal location would be. for the performance section of our video we wanted to use an arts center that was local so it would be easy to get to, we also wanted to use this venue because it has a large open indoor space in which we can film our video. This would be ideal because there are music videos within our genre that use open and plain areas to fill the performance parts for there videos for example Enter Shikari's "destabilise" music video.

Another band that use open areas to film there performance for their music video is a day to remember with their video for have faith in me.

however when we wanted to film we had trouble with finding a suitable day for using the venue so we had to change to our second choice. our second choice was the hermit which is a small local music venue.
this is also a popular type of venue for filming the performance in music videos that fit with our genre as seen by bands such as parkway drive.
Narrative
In our opening shot we want to have the singer walking away from the camera across a field. Looking around our local area we found one that has a perfect area for what we want to film and the background looks very calm and still which would go well with the nature noises that we want to put over the top of the shot, we would use this to create a peaceful and quiet feel to the video before the heaviness of the song.
As for the interior shots of the singer singing into a mirror we decided to use our friends bathroom because the mirror allows us to film from the shoulders up which is the ideal shot that we want to create.
for the other interior shots we also used our friends house because on the wall in the background of our shot there are metal hearts that juxtapose the nature of the video.
